Monday to Friday, 7a to 3:30p$15/phMentor, OHJob SummaryThe General Labor – Racker is responsible for preparing metal parts for the coating process by properly loading (racking) and unloading parts to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety. This role is essential to maintaining production flow and meeting customer quality standards in a fast-paced metal coatings environment.Key Responsibilities
Rack and un-rack metal parts onto hooks, racks, or fixtures according to work instructions
Inspect parts for damage, cleanliness, and defects prior to and after coating
Ensure parts are positioned correctly to allow for full and even coating coverage
Maintain proper spacing and orientation of parts to prevent defects
Handle parts carefully to avoid scratches, dents, or contamination
Assist with basic material handling, including moving parts, racks, and bins
Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Communicate issues or concerns to the supervisor or quality team
Support other production tasks as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds as required
Strong attention to detail and quality
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
Prior experience in manufacturing, metal finishing, or industrial labor is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching
Repetitive hand and arm motions
Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
