Production Line Operator Mentor, Ohio 1st Shift Available $16.00 to $20.00/HR Based on Experience Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Production Line Operator for a metal coating and finishing facility in Mentor, Ohio. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring automated plating and coating line equipment used to process metal components for industrial and automotive applications.The ideal candidate will have previous experience running automated manufacturing equipment, making line adjustments, monitoring chemical/process flow, and troubleshooting equipment issues in a production environment. Responsibilities
Operate automated plating and metal coating production lines
Monitor conveyors, hoists, pumps, tanks, and processing equipment throughout production
Load and stage metal parts onto racks, barrels, or production fixtures
Adjust line settings and production equipment to maintain quality standards
Monitor cycle times, coating processes, temperatures, and production flow
Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues
Perform visual quality inspections on finished parts
Complete production logs and process documentation
Operate a sit down propane forklift to move material throughout the facility
Load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
Work closely with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area
Follow all PPE, chemical handling, and safety procedures
Qualifications
Previous experience operating automated manufacturing or processing equipment required
Sit down propane forklift experience required
Experience working with conveyor systems, industrial tanks, pumps, or automated production machinery
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot production equipment
Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
Ability to follow written work instructions and production schedules
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
Metal finishing or plating environments
Chemical processing or industrial coating operations
Experience with automated hoist systems or barrel/rack processing equipment
