Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to join our warehouse and production team in Lancaster, TX. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate inventory management for the production of meal kit recipe boxes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily cycle counts, inventory movement, product requisition, and maintaining inventory integrity throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform multiple daily inventory cycle counts and reconcile variances.
Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) rotation across all inventory locations.
Manage the transfer of materials from storage to production, accurately recording all inventory changes.
Input inventory data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in real time.
Confirm quality and quantity of products after the receiving process is complete.
Understand daily and weekly inventory requirements to meet production goals.
Clearly communicate all major inventory changes to the Inventory Control Team Lead.
Identify and resolve issues related to product quality, inventory discrepancies, and yield tracking.
Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to accurately count large volumes of inventory, including individual items, cases, and pallets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with effective listening capabilities.
Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to follow established processes while also identifying and suggesting process improvements.
Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of problem-solving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to adapt and grow with changing job responsibilities.
Education & Experience:
Associate Degree preferred.
1–2 years of experience using mobile inventory devices or scanners.
1–2 years of experience in inventory control or food service operations.
Prior receiving or inventory experience in produce or perishable goods is strongly preferred.
Food safety certifications a plus.
Experience operating a Stand-Up Reach Forklift preferred.
