Job description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas.
Assist with order picking and packing as required, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and handling materials.
Engage in heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Skills
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and order pickers.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
Previous experience in a warehouse supervisor role is a plus.
