Setup and Operation: Prepare and operate flexographic printing presses to produce designs or lettering on a variety of materials, including flexible plastic film, paper, and nonabsorbent stocks.
Quality Control: Oversee print quality throughout the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain clarity, color accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating the presses and carrying out preventive measures to ensure peak machine performance.
Ink Management: Mix and prepare inks or dyes to achieve required colors, pour them into printing units, and adjust viscosity and color as needed.
Inspection: Review printed materials for any defects, including blurred or off-center images, and refine the printing process as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required. Additional vocational training in printing technology is considered an asset.
Experience: Prior experience with operating flexographic printing presses is preferred. Understanding of color theory and print quality standards is advantageous.
