Job Description

CDL Yard SpotterPerrysburg Ohio$21/hr - Paid Weekly6 am - 2:30 pm*Must have CDL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Complete daily spotter inspection report prior to entering the truck
  • Check and record all fluid levels and if any fluids are needed, the amount added should be noted as well
  • Complete daily yard check at the beginning of every shift
  • Inspect for any damages to the trailers and if damages found, bring to supervisor’s attention immediately
  • Ensure all deliveries are sealed or are locked on the trailer and reject any trailers with no lock or seal
  • Inspect all inbound empty trailers prior to accepting them
  • Sweep out all trailers and ensure it is emptied into the dumpster
  • Keep the yard (both empty and loaded) in a neat and orderly manner
  • Ensure trailers are lined up with the pads and backed in with minimal to no gaps
  • Enter all moves into yard view and if it is down, it must be noted on the spotter moves form
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.’s) at all times.
  • Complies with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law and Company policies.
  • Meets Company attendance standards of start and end times for work as scheduled.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with Company rules, regulations and policies.
  PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMNETS: 
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Uses both hands, feet and fingers to operate forklifts.
  • Walks up to 400 yards to work and break areas.
  • Ability to work in variable (hot and cold) temperatures.
   WORKING REALTIONSHIPS: 
  • Maintain harmonious working relationships with employee and management in all departments.
 EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in using R.F. (Radio Frequency) System.
  • Basic Math and Reading skills.
